Stitch Strutt

When I was growing up, I came from artists. A music major, a photographer, a fine artist, an actor, a singer, a carpenter ... all within my very immediate family. My mother - and now, I find, myself - imbued with all this creative lineage, branched out every which way she could. She's now mostly devoted to textile arts, and growing up we used to embroider together on lazy weekends.

The other day, I went home to visit for the day and came home positively laden with embroidery supplies. Since I can't seem to artistically sit still, embroidery is my next revisited frontier.

Join me as I re-learn the basics and venture into whatever my manic mind tells me to - string-to-fabric-wise, that is.

Happy 'broiding,
Stitch Strutt
